Hi, I’m Riya Bhardwaj, a B.Tech CSE student at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. I blend code, creativity, and data to craft intelligent solutions — from AI-powered applications to real-time analytics dashboards.
My journey began with programming and web development, and has grown into a deep passion for artificial intelligence, computer vision, and data science. I’ve interned at Tata Motors and Tata Steel, where I developed solutions like road extraction models from satellite images and data visualization dashboards in Tableau.
I believe in building scalable, impactful technology that not only solves problems but also makes a difference. When I’m not coding, you’ll probably find me exploring new tech tools, singing classical music, or sketching ideas for my next project.

Duration: May 2024 – July 2024
Worked on the development of a deep learning model for automatic road extraction from satellite images. Implemented a U-Net architecture achieving 95% Intersection over Union (IoU) score. The project was deployed on a Streamlit web app to provide interactive road extraction visualization and insights for use in navigation and infrastructure planning.
This experience enhanced my knowledge of computer vision, model deployment, and practical application of deep learning techniques in real-world geospatial problems.

Developed an interactive Tableau dashboard for analyzing Failure Analysis Data (FAD). The dashboard allowed engineers to identify patterns in equipment failure, analyze downtime reasons, and monitor overall performance metrics. This helped in improving data-driven decision-making and preventive maintenance at Tata Steel.
During this internship, I gained hands-on exposure to data visualization, statistical analysis, and communication of technical insights for industrial use cases.

Successfully completed internship in the field of Data Science & Analytics. Worked on end-to-end data analysis projects, including data cleaning, preprocessing, visualization, and reporting. Contributed to the design of scalable data pipelines and implemented predictive models for deriving actionable business insights.
This internship strengthened my expertise in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn), SQL, and visualization tools. It also gave me a strong foundation in professional collaboration, reporting, and meeting project deadlines.
